Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hospitalist to join our team at a federal medical center. As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing care to patients during their stay at the hospital. Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Care: Focusing primarily on hospitalized patients, the Hospitalist has the unique ability to follow up on patient care, discuss patient care with nurses, and resolve any problems that may arise. You will often see patients more than once a day.
Coordination and Communication: While attending to your own patients, you will also coordinate care between different doctors caring for a patient. You’ll serve as a point of contact for hospital staff and maintain communication with the patient’s family.
Committees and Quality Improvement: Hospitalists generally serve on committees and work to improve efficiency, patient care, and infection control. You’ll foster teamwork and enhance communication between staff and physicians.
Liaison Role: Hospitalists act as a working liaison between administration and physicians.
Qualifications:
Board Certification: You must be Board Certified in Hospital Medicine.
Medical License: You must be licensed to practice medicine in the United States or its territories.
Willingness to Relocate: The ideal candidate should be open to relocation.
