Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team at a federal medical center. As a Family Medicine Physician working in a prison or correctional institution, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to incarcerated individuals. Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Care: Diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, including acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and preventive care. You’ll manage patients’ overall health and well-being within the correctional setting.
Health Promotion: Focusing on preventive medicine, health education, and wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of incarcerated patients.
Chronic Disease Management: Providing ongoing care for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and mental health disorders.
Emergency Response: Responding to medical emergencies within the facility and coordinating with other healthcare staff.
Collaboration: Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, mental health providers, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
Board Certification: You must be Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Medical License: You must be licensed to practice medicine in the United States or its territories.
Willingness to Relocate: The ideal candidate should be open to relocation.
